Alexander James McColl
Alexander James McColl is a graduate of Edinburgh University, was a partner in the firm of A and W.M. Urquhart in Edinburgh and moved to the Borders in 1981. Alex is a member of the Society of Solicitors in The Supreme Courts and a Notary Public. He has experience in Agricultural, Commercial and Private Client Work and has a keen interest in Agricultural Law, Commercial Leasing and Renewable Energy including Wind Farm and Mast Site Agreements and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association.
Kathryn Janet Wilson
Kathryn Janet Wilson graduated from Glasgow University and completed a traineeship in the Borders before qualifying in 1985. Kathryn then worked as a Court Assistant in practices in both Ayr and Leven before returning to the Borders in 1989. Kathryn is the Court Partner in the firm with experience and an interest in both Civil and Criminal litigation, including Matrimonial Disputes, Child Law, Contracts, Personal Injury, Cohabitation and all matters relating to Civil and Criminal Court Work. Kathryn is registered to provide Legal Aid in both Civil and Criminal matters. She is a notary public, a Safe Guarder, a Past Dean of The Berwickshire Faculty and a member of the Family Law Association.
Melanie Roberts
Melanie Roberts qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 after passing the Law Society Professional Examinations and obtaining a Diploma in Legal Practice at Edinburgh University. Melanie is a Notary Public and has a wealth of experience in Wills, Trusts and Executries as well as residential and Commercial Conveyancing Work. She has developed a keen interest in Agricultural Law and is a member of the Agricultural Law Association. Melanie can be seen at any of our three offices.
